Spring indoors

OK, ... so there's snow... again... on the grass this morning.  Fortunately, we were on the edge of this storm, so it could be worse.  It's only one degree above freezing outside, so I'm enjoying spring indoors today.

The spring bouquet makes it all better.

And the African Violets are blooming.

On Saturday our fiber arts guild held a retreat, and I took the crochet lessons.  Taking what I learned, I finished the edge on one of my cotton placemats.  Thanks, Cheryl, for the private lesson.  :-)

  1. Your African Violets are very pretty. I used to grow them at my old house. Here I don't have a good place for them. I like the ones that look a little sparkly.

  2. I wonder when it will be safe to put our Winter coats and long-sleeve shirts away. Sigh!

The retreat WAS a lot of fun!

  3. I love those violets. I bought one recently. Years ago I had a whole bunch of them lining a window sill. They are a breath of spring.
We are into our first heat wave, so I would welcome "one degree above freezing". Summer is coming and I see no way out of it.
