To be, or knot to be

I'm down to the foot of this sock...but I'm pretty cranky that I ran into 3, yes THREE, KNOTS in the cuff alone!  What the NORO is going on??  If I were working on a lace pattern I'd undoubtedly have to rip out the whole thing and start over with a different yarn.  I'm very disappointed with Noro on this point.

  1. Oh knots!

This is why I wind all my yarn into yarn cakes before beginning anything on which knots would be a problem.

  2. Noro is notorious for knots and twigs and thick/thin places. I don't like working with it, but the colors are beautiful!

  3. I"d complain to wherever you bought it from. There is little that is more frustrating than a break in a sock. I love one long strand start to finish in my socks

  4. I was just talking about that .......

Ya know another thing ticking me off. Tidal Wave used to be a free pattern. I went to download it last night and now it's a pay pattern. What's up with THAT??????

  6. Despite the knots, I love LOVE the color combo, and the beautiful textures.

    Smooth knitting to you.

  7. Noro yarn is hard to knit with... but beautiful. Socks would be harder because of the "nubs" and twists in the yarn. I've only made scarfs and felted knitting things, but I do love the colors. Nancy is right. All Noro has to be re wound into a new ball to straighten it out.

  8. Knots make me crazy, too. I love Noros colors but not its feel...too scratchy.
