A small flock of birds came around, scavenging for food. I think these are House Sparrows. Love the red breasts and striping. Anyway, I took these pictures through the screened window, using the zoom; they are not very clear, but you kind of get the idea. The sparrows found the sock of seed, and they may have been able to get a few seeds.
I love the photos of birds even if they aren't as crisp as usual.
ReplyDeleteI am wishing I had feathers in this deep freeze of January
I love this time of year here. A lot of northern birds are here. I was at a friends today and she had FOUR red-bellied woodpeckers in her oak tree.
ReplyDeleteFun photo! Might they be house finches? House sparrows around here are what I call LBBs (little brown birds). The finches are much prettier. Sure looks cold out your way!
