I'm down to the toe on the second sock.. and on the
last inches of the skein!! OH NO!! What to do? I contacted the store from which I bought the yarn and discovered they are OUT of that color. So, I got on-line to see if I could find it at any of my usual sites...but apparently it's not available.
I am currently on HOLD, considering my options.
Use a different yarn, likea blacke or dark blur to knit the toe on THAT sock. Then rip the toe out of the other sock a do the same thing. Voila!matching socks.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of yarn is it? Maybe someone some where has a skein?

It has happened to me before. Simply rip out the other toe, like Paula suggested, and create matching toes with another yarn.
ReplyDeleteWhat Nancy said .......or don't even rip out ...that portion will be in your shoe. No one would really notice if they don't match exactly.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the yarn?
I agree with the others. And Dee is right, too; unless you wear toeless shoes, who will know? And if they do, tell them you planned it that way!!!
