Accordian Scarf p.2

The bottom border of the scarf is completed, I've picked up stitches to start knitting the length, and I've started adding beads.  Whoo-hoo!  My friend Julie let me borrow her teeny-weeny crochet hook so that I could start adding the beads.  This beats threading all the beads you need on the ball of yarn from the beginning!  I've been down that road a couple of times.  Adding the beads with the aid of a crochet hook is the ticket!
Do you see the beads?  They have a hint of blue in them.  Once this is blocked, I think the bead will really pop.

  1. Oh yeah, this is going to be a beautiful scarf.

Are you adding the beads in a specific way or randomly?

  3. Fun! I sure can see the beads. This is going to be pretty. And I agree, a crochet hook is the way to go with beads!

  5. That is a really gorgeous scarf! I once knitted a bracelet where I had to thread all the beads onto the yarn and then knit with tooth pick diameter needles...like I said, I'm not a knitter and admire your talent.
By the way, I know what you mean about todays youth and not understanding the 'movements' of the 60s and 70s. Seems like the youth were much more connected to large numbers of those with a common ground and much more passionate about it. Maybe it's too many gadgets get in the way now!
