School is back in session...

...But I couldn't be happier out of the classroom!  I enjoyed that long chapter of my life, but am so glad to have turned the page.

This post is putting a spotlight on a memorable year in our school's history.  We were able to build a brand new building for our 6-12 students, and the rooms were ready in August of 1994.  The old building was falling down around us, and I was ready to spend my working hours in a modern building!! (My old room had two electrical outlets: one in the front of the room, and one in back.)  So here I am, probably having finished getting my room ready for the first day of school.

I also taught Drama and directed our productions.  Our first dinner-theatre production on the new stage was "Stop And I'll Catch You," a two-act comedy of the roaring twenties, by Bill Van Horn.  The show had a cast of 24.  As you can see, I had some tough female characters...and some guys (Government Agents) dressed as flappers to catch the gangsters. What fun times!
